Painting A Tree in A Mountain

"Painting A Tree in A Mountain" is a documentary video co-created by artists Chou Shih Hsiung and Pin Hui Chen. Chou's "Oil Painting" is encased in a Perspex frame, and the forms and colors within the space continually reflect on its black surface, creating a picturesque image. The artist sets up the oil painting on an easel, placing it in the forests of the mountainous areas in Taiwan. As if ascending the mountain to sketch and paint, Chou captures the breathtaking scenery using a camera, with artist Chen Pin Hui assisting in recording this process on video.
